The use of HTTP and HTTP(S) as a primary transport for integration has grown exponentially over the last five years. Regardless of the vendor protocols or other standards, all organizations have HTTP integrated into their system, and it is often the critical link that goes untested or makes testing for other groups difficult.
A message testing strategy is critical for any integrated project. Instead of a technology-siloed approach, the ability to test HTTPand HTTP(S) in conjunction with the rest of your integration infrastructure is important in providing a true end-to-end view of the process.
How it Works: Solstice Integra Suite HTTP(S) Adapter
The Integra Suite HTTP(S) adapter installs alongside the base Integra Suite Product. It allows recording, replaying and simulation of HTTP(S) messages.
Features
- Record and Replay HTTP traffic through a proxy
- Simulate an unavailable HTTP server
- Flexibility to specify
- Content type
- Chunking
- Customizable headers
- SOAP service execution
Validating the secure connection (HTTPS)
In addition to recording, replaying and comparing HTTP messages and their content, the HTTP(S) adapter can validate the authentication and encryption handshake that secures HTTP(S) messages. The HTTP(S)adapter provides the ability to test flows that have secure components and also facilitates the difficult task of testing false conditions in security.
Solstice Integra Suite File and Database validation adapters complete the "Behind the Screens" story by providing for the validation and manipulation of test data. The file and database adapters can assure that data is properly committed to backend systems, and can be used to set up and clean up data in testing streams.
File Adapter
The file adapter can be used to validate flat files on a field by field basis, either by comparison to a baseline, or by validation against a custom or industry standard template.
Database Adapter
The database adapter supports validation of JDBC databases. In a similar fashion, the file adapter provides field by field comparison of database segments as well as provides the ability to set up, clean up and data substitute values in a multi-test case stream.
Features
- Data validation, set-up or clean-up
- Validation of content
- File content
- SQL Result sets
- Multi-record file sorts
- Parameterized data substitution
