Rick Faint

President & CEO

Rick Faint joined the Board of Directors of Solstice Software in 2002 and has served as its chairman since 2004.  He assumed the roles of President and CEO in August, 2007.  Rick has been the President & CEO of The Cornerstone Professional Group since 2004.  From 2002 until 2004, he was Chairman & CEO of and Impact Labs, a Columbia, MD based software company.  Before joining Impact, Faint was Vice President of Product and Solutions Marketing for Citrix Systems, which he joined after Citrix acquired Sequoia Software where he had been CEO. Faint joined Sequoia in 1996 and focused on building the company's sales and business development efforts. He also guided the company through three rounds of venture financing and its initial public offering (IPO). In May 1994, prior to Sequoia, Faint participated in the management led acquisition of Performance Learning Group, which merged with Mergent Technologies Group. Faint served as CFO until the company's sale to Prentice-Hall, Inc. In April 1996.  From 1984 to 1994, Faint was a co-founder and CFO of PersonaCare until its merger with TheraTx. He was a member of the management team that led TheraTx through its successful IPO prior to its eventual sale to Vencor. Earlier in his career, Faint was an attorney practicing business law. He received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Towson University and an MBA and JD from the University of Baltimore.  Faint is also the member of the Board of Directors of AmericasBank Corporation (AMAB) and StarQuartz Industries, Inc.

 

Madeline Bayliss

Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Madeline Bayliss directs client and business development at Solstice through both a direct sales force and channel partners. During the last ten years in technology, she has created and led successful sales growth through a combination of strong process, delivery focus and a commitment to satisfied clients. Her expertise includes application development, testing, performance, infrastructure, enterprise architecture, and enterprise applications. Her success formula has worked at both large and small companies, previously being affiliated with Unisys, Compuware and Newview. An 18-year career at The CIT Group as senior vice president developed a detailed knowledge of the value of technology for improved process and service to clients. Madeline holds a MBA in Marketing from New York University and a BA in Human Communications from Colgate University.

 

 

Peter DiStefano

Vice President of Product Development

Peter DiStefano joined Solstice in January 2005 as a senior sales engineer and now is responsible for driving the product roadmap as well as managing the company’s sales engineers and support departments.  Before joining Solstice, Pete served as Senior Director of Integration Architecture at e-Duction, Inc. In that role, he made major contributions to the design of the e-Duction transaction engine and led the integration between e-Duction and its partners via the webMethods Integration Server platform.  DiStefano has worked for early-stage companies in product development, product management and sales roles. He has knowledge and experience with a broad range of technical architectures, specializing in the EAI space.  He received a MEng degree from Penn State and a BS in Chemistry from Villanova.

 

Paul Templin Ashford

Vice President of Product Development

Paul Templin Ashford joined Solstice Software in 2006.  He is responsible for both managing and leading the development team.  Paul brings over 10 years of experience working within the software development field.  He previously worked as the Java Technology Lead for a prominent consulting firm in Delaware.  He also managed the development of multiple JavaEE based applications for multiple markets including pharmaceutical, insurance, newspaper and gaming industries.  Most recently, Paul was the lead software architect for Solstice Software before being promoted to direct the team in agile development methodology.  He has a BS in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh.
